01. What are the suitable reactions for glass reactor and stainless steel reactor?
Glass reactors are suitable for organic synthesis reaction, crystallization reaction,
distillation reaction, solvent synthesis reaction, photochemical reaction, etc.;
Stainless steel reactors are suitable for high pressure reaction, high-temperature reaction, polyreaction, solvent reaction, acid-base neutralization reaction, etc.
02. What are the advantages and disadvantages of glass reactors and stainless steel reactors?
Advantages of glass reactors
(1) Good transparency: Easy to observe the reaction process and material state.
(2) Poor thermal conductivity: Local overheating can be avoided in some cases.
(3) Can carry out photochemical reactions: Suitable for reactions that require light.
(4) Easy to clean: The glass material has a smooth surface, which is not easy to adhere to substances and easy to clean and maintain.
Disadvantages of glass reactors
(1) Strong brittleness: Fragile, sensitive to mechanical shock and temperature change.
(2) Not suitable for high pressure reaction: Glass reactor can not withstand high pressure, only suitable for normal pressure or low pressure reaction.
(3) Limited high temperature resistance: The glass material has relatively low high temperature resistance and is generally not suitable for high temperature reactions.
(4) Not suitable for large-scale production: Mainly used for laboratory small-scale reactions.
Advantages of stainless steel reactors
(1) High temperature and high pressure resistance: Suitable for high temperature and high pressure reaction.
(2) Strong corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance to a variety of chemicals.
(3) High mechanical strength: Suitable for industrial production environment.
(4) Long service life: Stainless steel has a relatively long service life and is not easy to be damaged.
Disadvantages of stainless steel reactors
(1) Opaque: It is impossible to directly observe the reaction process.
(2) Heavy weight: Relatively difficult to carry and operate.
(3) Higher cost: Compared with glass reactor, the cost is higher.
03. What's the difference between explosion-proof reactor and ordinary reactor? What is the explosion-proof level and effect?
The main difference between explosion-proof reaction kettle and ordinary reaction kettle lies in safety and explosion-proof function. The explosion-proof motor and controller are designed and manufactured with special materials and techniques to prevent explosion accidents under high temperature, high pressure or unexpected circumstances.
The reactor equipment with explosion-proof grade ExdllBT4Gb has the explosion-proof type, is suitable for Class II and Class IIB explosive gas environments, and the surface temperature does not exceed 135°C, and has the protection grade of Gb. This kind of explosion-proof reactor can operate safely in flammable and explosive environment, and has certain explosion-proof effect, which can effectively prevent explosion accidents caused by sparks or arcs generated inside the equipment igniting explosive gas mixtures.
04. What is the function of Teflon coating inside stainless steel reactor?
The main function of Teflon coating inside stainless steel reaction kettle is to enhance the performance of the reaction kettle and protect it from chemical corrosion. Teflon, also known as polytetrafluoroethylene, has the following characteristics:
1. Non-tackiness: Teflon coating surface has very low surface tension, so it shows strong non-tackiness. Few solid substances can stick to the coating, which makes it more difficult for materials to adhere to the inside of the reaction kettle during the reaction, thus making it easier to clean.
2. Wear resistance: Teflon coating has good wear resistance under high load operation, which is helpful to prolong the service life of the reaction kettle.
3. Corrosion resistance: Teflon is less affected by the chemical environment and can withstand the action of most organic solvents, thus protecting the stainless steel reaction kettle from chemical corrosion.
4. High temperature resistance: Teflon coating has strong high temperature resistance and fire resistance, which can withstand high temperature up to 300°C in a short time, and can be used continuously between 240°C and 260°C generally, with remarkable thermal stability.
5. Moisture resistance: the coating surface is hydrophobic and oleophobic, which makes it difficult to get the solution in production operation. Even if there is a small amount of solution dirt, it can be cleaned by simple wiping, thus saving production time.
05. How many types of stirring paddles are there in the reactor?
Stainless steel paddles are made of SUS 304 material, electrolytic polished, bright and burr-free.
1. Two-blade Crescent Paddle
(1) Centrifugal stirring effect;
(2) Movable paddle, which is convenient to put into the small mouth bottle container;
(3) Crescent-shaped design, suitable for mixing containers with arc bottom.
2. Three-blade Propeller
